The
remaining natural forests of our beautiful land, of which
only 88,000 hectares have survived as relatively undisturbed
forest cover, are mainly tropical hardwood rain forests that
are complex in nature and remote in location. The former
forested area unfortunately now consists of uneconomic
woodlands with secondary growth, large parcels of land with

Key Objectives & Activities
In pursuing its stated goal, TFC will also work
towards conservation of forest ecosystems, bio-diversity,
protected areas and watersheds by assisting individuals and
groups with planning, implementation, monitoring and
evaluation of projects and activities, including
afforestation, reforestation, agro-forestry, forest
recreation, urban forestry and related subjects.
